Win a One-on-One Workshop with Mandie of Altar’d Designs!

  Each year, M.D. Anderson’s Lukemia Dept. hosts their Silent Auction to raise money for their Adopt a Family Program.  Financial, emotional and physical stresses burden M.D. Anderson’s patients and their loved ones on a daily basis. In effort to alleviate some of this stress, the Leukemia Department participates in the Adopt-a-Family/Patient Program each year.

  At Altar’d, we are honored to dontate to such an amazing program.  This year, we are excited to announce that we are donating a one-on-one Painting Workshop with Mandie Morris.  During the workshop, you’ll learn from start to finish how to completely refinish a piece of your own furniture into a custom boutique worthy piece of furniture.  A Workshop lasts about 6 hours, and will include lunch.  The higest bidder will be the winner and the workshop can take place on a Saturday of the winner’s choice at Mandie’s home & workshop in Huffman, TX 77336.  The value of this workshop is $225.  100% of the amount bid on this workshop will go to M.D. Anderson Hospital.

Some of the baskets (contents and supplies) are created and donated by Leukemia Employees. Other baskets are given by named donors. 100% of proceeds are given to the Adopt a Family/Patient Program.

Our online silent auction will begin on November 14, 2011 at 8:00 am and end at 2:00 pm on November 18, 2011. The website is live and updated in real time. Winning bidders must pay for item with check or cash at the close of the auction. If you cannot retrieve your basket and pay for it, you may call Lisa Palacios to make other arrangements. If the basket has not been paid for by November 30, 2011, the second highest bidder will be contacted.
