Altar’d Home Tour {Dining Room}

This is more of a collage of pictures, because I honestly rearrange my dining room twice a month, at least. I love to change things up, and rearranging is a trick I use on myself to clean a room. I don’t like to clean, but if I know I can rearrange and get a whole new look I’m willing to clean.

I found a collection of old spoons at a trade show & decided to display them by gluing them to a canvas decoupaged with old hymnal pages.

I found an old Victorian lamp shade with ugly fabric and fringe! hanging all over it- I stripped it and hung it from my Dining room light fixture.

During one of my cleaning/rearranging sprees, I moved the book cases that my Dad built for me into the Dining Room in place of the sofa table. I love them, and love displaying small treasures.

This picture was taken about 6 months ago, and I LOVED this table that we made with ply wood, but it turned out to be not so kid friendly.

We are preparing to move to Pearland, so our house is a bit upside down right now, but I can’t wait to decorate our new house!

I have a crappy black IKEA bookcase that I am going to transform into something like your beautiful bookcase !! Hope it will look 1/2 as nice as yours, but almost anything will be an improvement !!
