This is the 15th post in a Series: 31 Days of Fabulous Furniture, read all of the posts here.

Pinterest.  Boy, am I late to this party.

I was just put on the waiting list for pinterest… I’ve avoided it because from what I can tell- it’s very addicting.

I just spent about 20 minutes looking up painted furniture- and found some gorgeous pieces!

I would love to give credit to the artist for each of these, but it is unclear who painted most of these from the pins.

This gorgeous French Dresser is from Gussied Up Furnishings- I recognize it.

LOVE.  Whoever created this is a genius.

Gorgeous hand painted map in gold.  Love this!

Faux Bois Drawer Fronts~ Martha Stewart has a new tool at the Home Depot to create this look.

The artist who created this has far more patience than I do. ;0)  I love it!

I did this map chest of drawers, and I just found it on pinterest. :0)

Check out Pinterest for some furniture inspiration- just try not to get addicted. ;0)

  1. Mandie… I love your blog! And those are fantastic Pinterest finds. I try to stay away for the same reason… I just keep pinning and pinning and pinning. LOL! A group of us were just talking about that tonight. ;) Also, if you look at the pictures that you find on Pinterest that have already been pinned, if you click on the picture it will open up into a larger picture. There is a link where they found the original picture on the top right hand corner. Took me a while to figure that out too. :) Keep up the awesome furniture makeovers. I bet you’ll find a lot of your stuff on there!

  2. I am so enjoying your tips! So helpful to have information from an expert. I have a credenza that was my grandmother’s. It is so tired looking. Very dark and the finish has lost its sheen. It’s sort of like there is a gummy haze on it. Both my grandparents were heavy smokers so I’m sure there is residue from tobacco. I really want to refinish it (I know my husband will freak out!) and don’t know why I’m so hesitant to move forward. When I do though, I’m guessing that it will need to be sanded to get that haze off? I just don’t think primer is enough.
I love Pinterest but it is a time leach! I set time limits (sort of like I used to do with my kids when they were little!). I know if I don’t, I will sit at the computer all day long. Believe me, I’ve done it! If you can manage that part of Pinterest—you will love it’s usefulness!
